Gathering after 14 yrs

After 14 yrs of graduation from my primary school " Delta & Bukit Ho Swee Primary Sch", i have a small gathering with some of the gals.

Date: 18th March 2009
Time: 6.45pm
Venue: Outside Tiong Bahru plaza Macdonald
Attendees: Myself, Li Ju, Peishan, Meizhen, Meili

I was very excited when i received an sms from my childhood friend Li Ju last week. Ever since, all of us have graduated & moved on to different secondary school to begin our another new stage, we are all occupied & busy with actitives & studies. This is the time i can catch up with them & am looking forward for the day.

All of us reached and decided to have our dinner at Mac, which is always a place for us to gather since our pri days but due to fully occupied, we decided to switch to LJS instead. We bought our food & began our chat. Most of us did not change after so many yrs, the way we talk, present ourselves & behaviour remains the same. We talk abt the past regardless is funny or corny, schooling, courses, work etc..... Meizhen's husband brought their son who is a chubby baby boy to meet her. She left us after 3 hrs of gathering & the 3 of us gals continuing with our talking.. that's when we talked abt our family and lifes.

I always thought that most of my friends comes from a healthy family but then i was wrong.
I only managed to know that most of us have a complicated side to handle. I was deceived by their outlook presentation. This is the thing which most of us always neglected. Cos we always judge everyone of us from the outer cover but not the inner.

We talked till 10.45pm when LJS starting to pack for the day and we bid goodbye to each other. While on my way back home, many thoughts flowed into my mind. School days are always carefree & freedom from trouble to most of us. As we get older each time, responsibilities, pressure & restriction starts to wear in. Different people have different way of handling their problems. Some are reserved & always be the one who do the listening while others like to be open-up as a form of distress.

But 1 thing that i have learned today is "Never judge a book by its cover " even they do not even talk abt it but that does not mean that nothing happen in their lifes.

Although we have reached another stage of our lifes, i am always hoping we will gather again for another session. =)

May God bless them~!
